Derek Shoden

Derek is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Inspire Network LLC. As a principal integration coach, he facilitates transformational change and positions businesses for successful multigenerational transitions.

Derek was born and raised in Northeastern Minnesota. He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration/Finance from the University of St. Thomas. He is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Inspire Network, LLC, and principal integration coach. Derek also has his Kolbe Certification™, a theory that aims to define an individual’s instinctive strengths and build on them for increased effectiveness.

Derek has worked in the financial services industry since 2002 and has held multiple roles, including financial advisor, coach and a role on the field leadership team in the Northeast territory.

Derek is respected for his ability to assess an individuals’ strengths and work with them to capitalize on these to grow personally and professionally. He has coached many teams through change and growth and can break overwhelming transitions into manageable steps.

He enjoys spending time with his family. In the summer he spends weekends at the family cabin in Northern MN. Whenever possible, he likes to take the opportunity to participate in the outdoor sports and hobbies that Minnesota has to offer. His Golden Retrievers, Morgan and Moose are always at his side and accompany him while hunting both waterfowl and upland birds.
